Each year, we contact all the local<br \/>\nsenior schools in an attempt to offer an alternative way of learning<br \/>\nfor children aged 16 who now have to remain in some form of formal<br \/>\nstudies.<\/p>\n<p>We operate our apprentice training scheme in partnership with North<br \/>\nLancashire Training, which is widely recognised as one of the leading<br \/>\nfurniture making apprenticeships in the country.<\/p>\n<p>We then continue to offer on the job training throughout our staff\u2019s<br \/>\ncareers, and as a result 50% of our management team began their careers<br \/>\nwith the company as trainees in the factory.<\/p>\n<p>We have recently expanded our commitment to training and learning by<br \/>\noffering, for the first time, a Business Administration Apprenticeship.<br \/>\nWe hope to teach our latest Apprentice what goes on behind the scenes in<br \/>\na furniture manufacturing company and they are currently working in the<br \/>\noffice alongside the Operations Manager learning all aspects of the<br \/>\nadministrative side to manufacturing.
