The phrases ‘managed estates’ and ‘sustainably sourced’ are well used throughout the timber industry. However, we at Sylvan do not believe that this should include sources that are devastating entire areas and then replanting after all the natural plant and wildlife has been destroyed.  With this in mind we only use timber that is truly sustainable.

The majority of our timber used in our factory is sourced from reputable suppliers in Europe and North America where regulations are easily monitored and certification is increasing rapidly. Any tropical or southern hemisphere timbers such as Teak or Iroko are only sourced from reputable suppliers where they are demonstrating true sustainability.
